The Cleveland Browns have a bit of a mess to clean up, and adding a player like Tee Higgins when NFL free agency opens up may just help them get back on the map in 2025.
PFF just released their top 50 free agents when the open market goes live at the beginning of the new league year, and it has sparked some inspiration on just who the Browns could target to improve their roster next season. Sitting at 3-12 on the year, that is the priority.
One of the biggest myths is that the Browns will not have the financial flexibility to spend money in free agency. The reality is they will be able to get to $45 million in cap space in just two roster moves. This means they’ll have some money to throw around, and that is without even considering some of the contracts they will be able to restructure to clear more space. All-in-all, they could have the ability to clear around $70 million in cap space with logical moves.
They’ll want to carry over around $30 million in cap space as they usually do, but the Browns will be able to spend money in free agency.
