Week 9 Browns vs Chargers has some key players dealing with injuries including Joey Bosa, Denzel Ward
The Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Chargers are 90 minutes away from the start of their Week 9 matchup which could impact the NFL trade deadline and more moving forward. Both teams are disappointed with their starts at this point with the Browns heading into their bye week in Week 10 with many questions and the trade deadline rumors swirling.
The final injury report for the AFC clash in Cleveland had four players ruled out, one as doubtful and five questionable including DE Joey Bosa and CB Denzel Ward. Ward was cleared out of the concussion protocol on Saturday as LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah was placed on IR.
Now, with just over an hour left until kickoff, the two teams have submitted their inactive lists:
Browns Week 9 Inactives
- QB Bailey Zappe (3QB)
- RB D’Onta Foreman
- LB Jordan Hicks
- OL Germain Ifedi
- DT Quinton Jefferson
No real surprises with Foreman inactive as Jerome Ford returns to the lineup. The team also announced Dawand Jones will stay as their starting left tackle despite Jedrick Wills returning.
Chargers Week 9 Inactives
- QB Easton Stick (3QB)
- CB Kristian Fulton
- WR DJ Chark
- OL Brenden Jaimes
- OL Jordan McFadden
- TE Stone Smartt
- DL Justin Eboigbe
Bosa is active as is LB Denzel Perryman, both important pieces of the puzzle for LA’s defense. Chark was activated from injured reserve Saturday which makes his status interesting for the game.
