Week 17 could matter for the Dolphins, only matters for NFL draft position for the Browns
When the Miami Dolphins showed up on the schedule for the Cleveland Browns in Week 17 on the road, most expected two teams fighting for a playoff spot playing in a cold, snowy game after Christmas. At this point, neither is likely to be true as the Browns are already eliminated from the NFL playoff race and the Dolphins could be before the late afternoon kickoff.
The weather is also not what was expected as the forecast currently has a high of 54 degrees and a low of 41 with rain possible on Sunday in Cleveland.
Both teams did a walkthrough on Tuesday instead of the normal practice on Wednesday to allow players to be with their families on Christmas. We heard from Cleveland HC Kevin Stefanski on Monday that TE David Njoku had a new injury and starting QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson was dealing with a calf problem.
