Well, the Cleveland Browns are getting quickly to work after this horrific and disgraceful 3-14 season has come to a close. A terrible loss to the Baltimore Ravens this past Saturday finished it off. The team announced that they will be letting go of offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey and offensive line coach Andy Dickerson. Let’s talk about just how bad this offense truly was this year.
—
300.8 yards per game which was 28th
15.2 points per game which was 32nd
27 total touchdowns which was 32nd
Literally, the team only managed to score 20+ points a game three times this entire season.

While moves like this were expected, a motto I love despite shit-talking coaches my entire life is that “The players play.” Yes, making these changes and ultimately finding new voices and strategies for the upcoming season could be helpful, but it’s not like it’s going to be some magical cure or something. Even my father said, “I don’t think they were such a problem, he had crappy quarterbacks.” Very true…
Did you know that Ken Dorsey actually played quarterback for the Browns back from 2006-2008? Yeah, he didn’t do much of anything during that time as a backup. Just one of the 40 total quarterbacks since 1999 for the team (can you name them all?)
It will be interesting to see if the Browns truly do stick with head coach Kevin Stefanski as he was NOT announced as fired or anything like his counterparts in Dorsey and Dickerson were. Thus, for now, it appears he’ll still be in charge come 2025. The head coach will look for new names and voices around the league to fill these spots.
A couple of potential names could be the likes of Former New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh Washington Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken and Cleveland Browns coaching and personnel consultant Mike Vrabel. To be clear, those names (Via Fan Sided) may find head coaching positions themselves. It’s going to take time and see who gets hired and fired this offseason before finding new coaches.
This year was hard for players, coaches and fans as a whole. It’s only the beginning of what’s going to be a crazy offseason of firings, hirings, draft picks, signings trades and more! We’ll have it all for you here at Cleveland Sports Talk!
Best of luck to Ken Dorsey and Andy Dickerson with their futures.
