With two games remaining, can the Browns lasso the first overall pick in the NFL draft?
The Cleveland Browns are on a constant slide. To make the playoffs, that is a very bad thing and besides, the franchise is already out of contention. But getting the first overall draft pick in this year’s NFL draft? Consistently losing is something this year’s club is pretty good at doing.
RELATED: TOP PICK WITHIN SIGHT
After this past weekend’s slate of games, certain teams won their game which has helped the Browns get within earshot of acquiring the Number 1 pick. It has been a roller coaster of a season, but now the air is clearing up and the bottom of the league is a very distinct possibility for Cleveland.
Can they get the first overall pick?
The Browns need quality talent up and down the roster. Positions that were assumed to be good, such as running back, quarterback, and kicker, for example, now are problematic. The high draft picks shipped off in trades for Deshaun Watson and Elijah Moore have completed their course which means Cleveland will once again have first and second-round drafts pick for the first time in three years. Selections in the top five of each round are likely a reality.
Let’s examine what the other teams are doing, and who has the best chance of getting the Number 1 overall pick with two games left on the schedule.
