Whiteheart has played in four games so far in the 2024 season
The Cleveland Browns have officially elevated TE Blake Whiteheart from the practice squad to the active roster ahead of tonight’s matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Whiteheart will play his fifth game with the team tonight, acting as the third tight end behind David Njoku and Jordan Akins. He’s played fairly well throughout his 78 offensive snaps, particularly as a pass-catcher in 12 personnel looks.
He’s recorded three catches for 13 yards and a touchdown in 2024.
Whiteheart originally joined the Browns in August after being released by the Arizona Cardinals, who signed him as a UDFA in 2023.

With how bad the weather might be tonight in Cleveland, the offense could choose to be in heavier personnel groupings in an attempt to find more success in the running game.
