Can the Browns get back in the playoff race?
Each week during season, Cleveland Browns fans vote in SB Nation Reacts to express their confidence level in the team or their thoughts on other topics.
After their win over the Ravens in Week 8, the Browns’ confidence jumped to 56%, an increase of 49 percentage points from the previous week. It’s true that a win can boost morale, but more than that, I think fans were vindicated that, “OK, we’re not crazy — it actually was Deshaun Watson who was holding everything back.”
The Chargers’ confidence is at 91% after their 4-3 start.
We asked two questions about the Browns this week. The first asked if fans think the Browns still have a shot at the playoffs now that Jameis Winston is the quarterback. 44% think they can get back in the playoff race, while 56% think it’s just too big of a hole to overcome.
Our other question asked Browns fans what they expect the outcome of Sunday’s game against the Chargers to be. 75% think Cleveland will win before the bye, while 25% are rolling with the Chargers.
Fans on a national level were asked who they think will cover the spread between the Browns and the Chargers. The Browns are 1.5 point underdogs to the Chargers this Sunday, per FanDuel Sportsbook. Only 56% of people think Los Angeles will cover, which means Winston’s performance last week demonstrates increased faith in the Browns on a national scale too.
