Another week closer to the 2025 NFL draft, another Cleveland Browns mock draft.
The Browns are settling into the offseason. The organization is filling out the rest of its coaching staff. The Browns’ position coaches are beginning to coach in their collegiate All-Star games. The team is gearing up for the NFL draft.
The team isn’t the only one with the draft on the brain. During his introductory press conference, the press asked new offensive coordinator Tommy Rees about his relationship with quarterback Jalen Milroe. Everyone knows the Browns must address their quarterback issue this offseason.
I’m not sure the Browns should address the quarterback with their top pick. I think Penn State defensive end Abdul Carter is the best player in this draft. He might not be a Myles Garrett prospect, but he’s at least at Von Miller’s level. He is the real deal. If the Browns don’t take Carter, they must have a quarterback in mind whether that’s drafting Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders, or trading back to amass picks for someone in 2026.
In this mock draft, I wanted to address the quarterback early. I wanted to build the best infrastructure around him to help him succeed. The Browns are projected to get three extra compensatory picks between rounds six and seven. The Browns have 12 projected picks in the 2025 NFL draft. The team must use the picks wisely to rebuild the team.
