Defining what a “clean MRI” is for Garrett could be interesting
With a 1-2 record, things are not good around the Cleveland Browns. While there is hope, given the putrid AFC so far and a win in the conference, injuries continue to pile up. Earlier Monday we covered HC Kevin Stefanski updating injuries for OL Wyatt Teller and DE Myles Garrett. While Teller is out for a few weeks, Garrett was noted as “day-to-day.”
Stefanski didn’t have information on a couple of other issues and didn’t have complete results for Garrett’s scans at that time. With this list of players on injured reserve, NFI or PUP, Cleveland needed some good injury news:
- Hakeem Adeniji – Out for season
- David Bell – Out for season
- Mohamoud Diabate
- Tony Fields II
- Myles Harden
- Maurice Hurst II
- Juan Thornhill
- Luke Wypler – Out for season
- Nick Chubb – PUP
- Nyheim Hines – NFI injury
- Micahel Dunn – NFI illness
The Browns got a bit of that Monday evening with a report that Garrett’s MRI came back clean:
#Browns star DE Myles Garrett (foot/ankle) underwent an MRI today that came back clean, per sources.
Kevin Stefanski said today Garrett is day to day: “Myles is battling every day. We feel he will continue to do that.” pic.twitter.com/VZ1sHVUIic

While we are not medical providers, we will assume her that “clean” means there are no major breaks or tears. Garrett was obviously struggling as he was seen getting a golf cart ride out of the stadium last night where he could barely lift his left up:
