Dorian Thompson-Robinson went into the tent after the first drive, Bailey Zappe warming up
The Cleveland Browns turned the page from QB Jameis Winston to QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson during their Week 15 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Winston’s sore shoulder led the Browns to make him inactive as the team’s emergency quarterback for Week 16 against the Cincinnati Bengals with QB Bailey Zappe as the backup.
Cleveland’s first drive of Week 16 started out with a huge run by RB Jerome Ford but ended with a D’onta Foreman fumble at the goal line. Cincinnati followed that with a 99-yard drive and a touchdown.
During the Bengals drive, it was noted that DTR was seen in the blue medical tent and Zappe was warming up:
Blue tent is up on sideline and Bailey Zappe is taking snaps with Ethan Pocic. Don’t see DTR anywhere.

According to the television broadcast, Thompson-Robinson hurt his calf and had it checked out and stretched while their defense was on the field.
As the Browns offense returned to the field, DTR was back behind center.
Late in the third quarter, WR Jerry Jeudy limped off the field and was seen grasping his right ankle as he sat on the bench. Cleveland had a first down when he went off the field and had a jacket placed over his shoulders. Initially, trainers did not attend to Jeudy on the sideline.
Jeudy returned two plays later after DTR scrambled for a first down.
