Jed Wills, Jack Conklin could play in Week 3
The Cleveland Browns returned home Sunday night with a victory. A road win in the conference is helpful no matter how they come but, coming off a struggle in Week 1, the Browns should be feeling confident going into Week 3.
Not too confident, despite holding second place in our AFC North power rankings, as injuries continue to linger for the team.
Meeting with the media via Zoom on Monday, Cleveland HC Kevin Stefanski provided a few updates on injured players:
- WR David Bell will require surgery for his dislocated hip
- RB Pierre Strong Jr. will be week to week with a hamstring injury
- DE Ogbo Okoronkwo cleared concussion protocol already
Somewhat surprisingly, Stefanski did not rule out TE David Njoku for Week 3 despite his reported high ankle sprain:
#Browns Kevin Stefanski said he won’t rule TE David Njoku out yet. Will see how the week goes.

It was clear early in Week 2 that Njoku would not play against the Jacksonville Jaguars but Stefanski could just be causing the New York Giants to prepare for their star tight end.
Much like last week, Jack Conklin and Jed Wills could play this week. Based on this comment, and how the injury report process went, it is clear that Conklin is more likely to play than Wills:
#Browns coach Kevin Stefanski: Jack Conklin was close to playing
