Jed Wills and James Hudson evaluations unknown at this time
The “insult to injury” line doesn’t totally apply to the Cleveland Browns. Instead, the Browns are adding injury to poor performance after their Week 3 loss.
During the game, the Browns saw a number of players go to the medical tent or into the locker room. The most severe injury seemed to be OL Wyatt Teller. A cart was brought out for the star right guard but he refused and walked to the locker room.
Returning from injury, Jedrick Wills went down again as did his replacement James Hudson III. DE Myles Garrett continues to fight a foot-related issue that could bother him the rest of the year.
HC Kevin Stefanski noted that Teller will miss multiple weeks while Garrett is day-to-day:
#Browns coach Kevin Stefanski: Wyatt Teller will miss multiple weeks with knee injury. Doesn’t have full extent.

Later, Stefanski noted that Teller was a candidate to go on injured reserve but that was not certain. Cleveland’s head coach did not have medical updates on Wills or Hudson.
The Browns currently have eight players on injured reserve with just three out of the season at this point:
- Hakeem Adeniji – Out for season
- David Bell – Out for season
- Mohamoud Diabate
- Tony Fields II
- Myles Harden
- Maurice Hurst II
- Juan Thornhill
- Luke Wypler – Out for season
Three other players are on the NFI lists or the PUP list:
- Nick Chubb – PUP
- Nyheim Hines – NFI injury
- Micahel Dunn – NFI illness
While injuries are no excuse, Cleveland continues to test its depth with all of the ones they are dealing with.
