Cleveland selected BGSU TE Harold Fannin Jr. at pick 67
The Cleveland Browns selected Bowling Green TE Harold Fannin Jr. with the 67th overall pick in round three of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Fannin Jr. was an unstoppable force for the Falcon offense throughout his career, ultimately setting six FBS receiving records at the tight end position. He has the body of an H-Back/TE with the athleticism and “wiggle” of a wide receiver.
He was the engine of Bowling Green’s passing game in 2024, finishing the season with a mind-boggling stat line of 117 receptions for 1,555 receiving yards to go along with 10 touchdowns. Not only was he uncoverable by most MAC defenses in the passing game, but he steadily improved as a blocker as well during his final year.

What an Expert is Saying
“Harold Fannin Jr. projects best into a personnel-diverse offense run by a creative play-caller. His versatility offers a doorway to positionally ambiguous football and many clever schemed touches and usage.
However, he should not be considered a turnkey option, and coaches who simply want to plug a tight end in as an in-line option should look elsewhere. More so than a traditional tight end, Fannin Jr. is a big slot option. ” – Kyle Crabbs, The 33rd Team
Fit with the Browns
Harold Fannin Jr. is going to be a dangerous, explosive weapon for Cleveland and will most likely be used in multiple spots due to his unique skill set.
The team needed to add another impactful player to the tight end room this offseason, and Fannin was undoubtedly one of the better options available in the 2025 class. He can line up in-line as a traditional Y, as a wing, in the slot, or out wide for the Browns in their often-used 12/13 personnel packages.
Browns Player Drafting Could Impact
Fannin Jr. immediately slots in as Cleveland’s TE2 heading into 2025, and it’ll be a surprise if he realistically has much competition for the spot despite a decent showing in 2024 by Blake Whiteheart.
