The star running back posts an interesting picture to his Instagram account as free agency nears.
With the NFL Combine in full swing with on-field workouts beginning, it appears that things have gotten volatile at the top of the draft for the Cleveland Browns. In addition to interviewing draft prospects, general manager Andrew Berry will spend a significant amount of time talking to agents about the upcoming free agency period.
We learned from Berry earlier in the week that one of the most beloved players in franchise history will hit the open market when free agency begins in less than two weeks. Nick Chubb has been battered by injuries over the past few years and his value is tough to predict.
Berry also stated that he would be meeting with Chubb’s representatives in the near future. The star running back caused a stir on social media on Thursday afternoon when he posted an interesting picture to his Instagram account.
Chubb has developed a Batman persona in his time with the Browns that has only increased his popularity with fans. The image posted portrayed a bloodied Batman that had perhaps been punched.

Fans and media will often stretch to find meaning in anything that players post to connect it to their teams. In this case, it’s easy to connect the dots to possibly feeling insulted by an initial number being presented to his agent from the Browns.
We have no idea if an offer was actually presented but it’s possible that Berry expected Chubb to hit the market because he knows that the offer wouldn’t be favorable. It’s also entirely possible that Cleveland made no offer and wants the veteran running back to test the market to get his value around the league.
What do you think about the picture Chubb posted? Are people making too much of it or do you think it means he felt slighted by the Browns? Let us know in the comments below.
