Billionaire Jimmy Haslam has time to engage with the Browns and Bucks
The Cleveland Browns seem ripe to run it back in 2025 with some slight alterations. National reports have HC Kevin Stefanski’s, and GM Andrew Berry’s, future secure with the Browns while a number of assistants could be candidates for promotions around the NFL. The one change is competition is expected at quarterback for Deshaun Watson.
While we will hold out hope that a miracle playoff run can happen, Cleveland is mostly focused on the upcoming NFL draft.
Stability with the Browns is a rarity with both Stefanski and Berry reporting to owner Jimmy Haslam. Since buying the team, Haslam has often had a quick trigger. Perhaps one of the reasons for stability is that the Haslams bought part of the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks and Jimmy Haslam is spending regular time with his new team:
Rivers said he talks to Bucks part-owner Jimmy Haslam every day.

For those who do not follow the NBA, the Bucks won a championship a few years ago (before Haslam), have one of the top three or four players in the league and another superstar and are one of the NBA’s biggest disappointments early in the season.
Depending on your opinion of the current Browns regime, Haslam having less time to hyperfocus on the team is either a good or a bad thing. In general, NFL teams with stability are successful but keeping coaches and front offices around despite their failures is not a recipe for success either.
