Whether it is Kirk Cousins, Shedeur Sanders or someone else, the Browns Kevin Stefanski, Andrew Berry have to get it right
It is obvious the Cleveland Browns have to do something at the quarterback position. We’ve heard and seen enough to know that it could be acquiring QB Kirk Cousins (despite a report that he wouldn’t be released), drafting a quarterback with the second overall pick or getting creative in other ways.
There is steam behind Cam Ward going first overall, despite the Tennessee Titans not having a GM currently, and some concern that Deion Sanders could impact what the Browns do with their selection.
In the end, GM Andrew Berry and HC Kevin Stefnaski know that they must get their next quarterback decision right after failing with QB Deshaun Watson. Cleveland’s unique (or used to be unique) reporting structure makes things interesting in big decisions. According to Jason Lloyd of The Athletic, who just released a scathing report on the Browns failures this year, Stefanski will be the one leading the charge in the QB search:
I’ll toss it in the rumor tracker since Jason said Stefanski is leading the way on the QB search.

While Berry has control of the roster, letting your head coach and offensive play caller (most likely) make the decision about the quarterback position makes a lot of sense. That is even more true this year with Stefanski and Berry likely on the proverbial hot seat.
Do you think Stefanski should run the QB search more than Berry? Who do you think is the starter in 2025 for the Browns?
