It was a rough showing for the Cleveland Browns in their 24-6 defeat against the Cincinnati Bengals.
For the first time this season, the Cleveland Browns started third-year quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson under center. It was unfortunately another rough showing for him as he was only able to muster 157 passing yards along with two interceptions and zero touchdowns. Cleveland’s star player on offense today was running back Jerome Ford, who got his first start since Nick Chubb was announced out for the season with a broken left ankle. Ford managed to carry the ball 11 times 92 yards and a score, while also being the team’s second leading receiver.
The Browns’ defense did not have any more success than the offense when it came to executing their game plan. Cincinnati’s passing attack was alive and well behind quarterback, Joe Burrow, who was able to complete 76 percent of his passes for three touchdowns and no turnovers. The tide didn’t change when it came to stopping Bengals running back Chase Brown as well, who managed to have 91 rushing yards in this contest. One positive note was that they were able to sack Joe Burrow four times out of a possible eight quarterback hits.
Now, let’s take a look at the Browns position grades from their Week 16 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals:
