Dalvin Tomlinson ruled out, 3 Browns placed on injured reserve, 3 others signed to the roster
The Cleveland Browns roster is almost unrecognizable from the one that started the season and was lauded as one of the best rosters around a quarterback.
On Tuesday, the Browns roster saw some shuffling including WR Cedric Tillman being placed on injured reserve for the season. Thursday, in the final injury report of the week due to the Saturday afternoon game, Cleveland ruled out five players and had five others listed as questionable for the game. We noted in covering that news that the Browns might need to place some on IR just to have enough players for Week 18 versus the Baltimore Ravens.
Saturday saw just that with six roster moves and two elevations from the practice squad. DT Dalvin Tomlinson was also downgraded from questionable to out by the team.
Cleveland placed three players on injured reserve:
- RB Jerome Ford
- TE David Njoku
- RB Pierre Strong
The Browns added three players to their 53-man roster off of their practice squad to take their place:
- WR Kaden Davis
- DT Michael Dwumfour
- S Christopher Edmonds
Edmonds has played in one game this season as an undrafted free agent and Dwumfour has 12 career games since being undrafted in 2021. This would be Davis’ first game being active.
To help the roster have enough healthy players, Cleveland elevated CB Kahlef Hailassie and RB Jacob Kibodi for the Ravens. Hailassie has played in 10 games for the Browns while this would be Kibodi’s NFL debut.
