Browns have signed Anusiem from the Washington Commanders practice squad
The Cleveland Browns have reportedly signed CB Chigozie Anusiem off the Washington Commanders’ practice squad this morning to fill one of their open roster spots. The Browns 53-man roster still has two openings after having three available since the NFL trade deadline.
Anusiem was originally signed by Washington as an undrafted free agent following the 2024 NFL Draft, where many analysts projected him to be a quality Day 3 pick.
The 6’1”, 200 lbs. cornerback was a 4-star recruit coming out of high school and a standout player for both Cal and Colorado State throughout his collegiate career. He garnered All-Conference honors in both 2022 and 2023 as one of the Mountain West’s top defensive backs.

As mentioned before, Cleveland still has room to add two more players before Sunday so expect more signings within the next couple of days.
