Jeudy is proving his worth to the team each and every week in 2024
The Cleveland Browns defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in a nail-biting thriller on Thursday night and two things remained incredibly consistent throughout the game:
The snow and Jerry Jeudy.
When the Browns initially traded for Jeudy back in March, the idea of having a receiver as talented as he is on the team was exciting but it was still unknown how he’d look in Cleveland’s “new” offense.
Due to his departure from Denver seeming imminent at the time, Andrew Berry jumped into action and negotiated a deal that would send him to Northeast Ohio for a mere 5th and 6th-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Trade: Broncos and Browns agreed to a deal today that will send WR Jerry Jeudy to Cleveland in exchange for two draft picks, sources tell ESPN.

On paper, it looked like another decent trade for Berry when you look at the player’s caliber in comparison to the trade compensation. Jeudy has always been a pretty good player but something simply seemed off with him in Denver.
Whether it was frustration with how he was being used or not getting along with the coaching staff, he began to fall out of favor relatively fast midway through his third season with the Broncos.
Lucky for the Browns he hasn’t shown anything besides promise and a “DAWG” mentality so far, and his play has undoubtedly elevated the offense in an otherwise lackluster season filled with doubt and uncertainty.
I love watching Jerry Jeudy after the catch with the #Browns.
It’s easy to see that he “wants it” more with Cleveland in almost every aspect of his play so far. #DawgPound #NFL pic.twitter.com/YbyFLV5Dll

Following Thursday night’s victory, he’s amassed 45 receptions on 78 targets for 645 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns on the year. His most impressive stat though is that he has 31 receiving 1st-downs as of right now through 11 games.
Jeudy’s consistently able to get open against man-coverage and find open pockets in zone-coverage on crucial downs for Jameis Winston and this Browns offense. It’s gotten to the point where he’s becoming the #1 read in certain down-and-distance situations regardless of the play itself.
He’s currently on pace for a career-high in receptions, yards, and 1st-downs in his first season with Cleveland so it appears that his outlook with the team is in a very good spot when it comes to overall usage, fit, and schematics.
If he continues to produce at a high level, the trade could go down as one of the best player acquisitions of Andrew Berry’s career as Browns GM.
