The Cleveland Browns will already be down two defensive linemen after the bye week, and now that number becomes three after rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. was ruled out for their game against the Saints.
Hall Jr. was a late addition to the Browns’ injury list on Thursday after it looked like they had gone two straight days of practice with perfect attendance. The rookie defensive tackle was listed and is now ruled out, with a knee injury.
This means we will likely see a practice squad elevation at the position this weekend. Veteran Sam Kamara has been a frequent call-up and could get another shot to make an impact against the Saints. Rookie seventh round pick Jowon Briggs could also get his first sniff of NFL action.
The good news for the Browns, however, is that Hall Jr. is the only player on their active roster who will not be available against the Saints as the rest of the roster is good to go.
Hopefully, this is just a small setback for the Ohio State product.
