Klint Kubiak’s brother, Klay Kubiak, was promoted with the 49ers and is still under contract with the Saints
The Cleveland Browns worked quickly to replace Andy Dickerson with Mike Bloomgren as the team’s offensive line coach. Bloomgren’s history with Bill Callahan had to be a drawing point for the team but the former Rice head coach has much more diverse experience than that.
The Browns are also moving quickly on their offensive coordinator search to replace Ken Dorsey. Tommy Rees was identified as one of six NFL candidates for the job and was noted as the first to interview for the position. That interview took place yesterday.
We noted the last name Kubiak as one of those six candidates but that was Klay Kubiak who was since promoted to offensive coordinator with the San Francisco 49ers. His brother, Klint Kubiak, is someone Cleveland could have their eye on despite being under contract with the New Orleans Saints:
A name to keep an eye on as the Browns look for a new offensive coordinator: Saints OC Klint Kubiak. He’s still under contract with New Orleans, but Cleveland could certainly make a bid to get him out of there, with the Saints coaching search ongoing.

Klint and Klay are the sons of Gary Kubiak, a mentor to Browns HC Kevin Stefanski.
Klint just completed his first year as offensive coordinator with the Saints after coming over from the Niners. He and Stefanski overlapped for a year with the Minnesota Vikings where the young Kubiak was the quarterbacks coach and then offensive coordinator in 2021.
New Orleans has put in requests to interview a number of head coaching candidates but is early in the process. Cleveland has not yet requested to interview Kubiak for their open position which would be required unless the Saints fire him.
