Breaking down Aireontae Ersery’s performance on Day 1 of the Reese’s Senior Bowl
The Cleveland Browns are currently developing their NFL Draft game plan and are deep into the scouting portion of the offseason, and one of the biggest evaluation events of the year began yesterday: The Reese’s Senior Bowl.
Kevin Stefanski is in attendance and ST Coordinator Bubba Ventrone is the Head Coach of this year’s American team, so it’s safe to say that Cleveland as an organization won’t be missing a beat this week.
Though quarterback is a main area of focus with guys like Jalen Milroe and Jaxson Dart in attendance, offensive tackle isn’t far behind them in the “needs” department.
One player that’s surely on the team’s radar this week is Minnesota LT Aireontae Ersery.
He was one of the top performers on day one, mostly because of his physical attributes and consistent ability to use them to his advantage.

Ersery has excellent length and is very in tune with his body, movements, and timing in terms of knowing when to punch or swipe hands.
It’s very, very important for heavier offensive tackles to have patience when pass-blocking because if they don’t and try to punch or strike too early, then quicker edge rushers can swipe around them on the arc.
One of his best reps of the day was when he faced Marshall star DE Mike Green. Green tried to bullrush Ersery but was unsuccessful due to Ersey’s ability to anchor and forklift Green’s momentum upwards, therefore effectively forcing Green to stall out.
Nice rep by Minnesota LT Aireontae Ersery at the #SeniorBowl against Marshall’s Mike Green.
I love his ability to direct momentum upwards and force rushers to stall out. He has excellent core strength, which is very evident in these types of reps. #Browns #DawgPound #NFL… pic.twitter.com/xkT5UpzvHh

Overall, Ersery stood out above the rest on Tuesday when it came to the offensive tackle group and he’s an exciting prospect for Cleveland to watch throughout the week.
Regarding scheme fit and playstyle, Ersery is an almost perfect match for the type of offense that Kevin Stefanski and Tommy Rees look to deploy in 2025 and beyond.
