The Cleveland Browns are already looking toward the offseason after a 3-12 season, so why shouldn’t we?
And as we get set to take a look at the NFL draft and potential free agents available on the open market at the start of the new league year, the Browns do not have a single coveted player set to hit free agency. PFF released their top 50 free agents to pursue, and not a single current member of the Cleveland Browns made the list.
The only player close enough to warrant a discussion is former Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper, who was traded to the Buffalo Bills earlier this season. He is listed as PFF’s seventh-best free agent set to hit the open market this offseason.
It may not look like it on the surface, but the Browns will have the ability to spend some money this offseason. It will be sparingingly but do not discount a couple of quality signings when the new league year begins.
