Also, Chubb can get the ground game going.
The Cleveland Browns are back at home against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 9 of the 2024 NFL season this Sunday, November 3, at 1:00 pm ET. The Browns are 1.5-point underdogs against the Chargers, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Here are my favorite player prop bets from the Browns’ perspective in Week 9.
Chargers vs. Browns: Best NFL player prop bets
Justin Herbert Throws an Interception (-114)
It’s getting to the point where it’s getting ridiculous just hot few interceptions this Browns defense has bad. They have just one interception through eight games, tied for last in the NFL. They also just missed on about 3 or 4 picks last week. Justin Herbert has also thrown for 8 touchdowns to just 1 interception this year. The signs don’t necessarily point to a pick being likely, but I like it from a momentum perspective of Herbert throwing a pick this Sunday.
Nick Chubb Over 52.5 Yards Rushing (-113)
In his second game back last week, Nick Chubb had 52 yards rushing (3.3 YPC). Chubb, when he is himself, averages 5.0 YPC+ for his career. He has shown glimpses of getting back to his normal self. Even though the Chargers only allow 112 yards rushing per game, they’re also yielding 4.75 yards per carry, which shows some struggles there. Additionally, Joel Bitonio indicated that we’ll start seeing more under center sets, which is where I think this run game excels. Take the over on Chubb getting 52.5 yards rushing.
Ladd McConkey Under 52.5 Yards Receiving (-113)
The Chargers’ rookie receiver had been impressive with 30 catches for 376 yards and 4 touchdowns. In seven games, McConkey would’ve only hit the over on this bet twice. With Denzel Ward playing, I like Cleveland’s secondary to be ready to deny McConkey of 53 yards receiving.
