LeBron James was one of many who had to give an opinion about the Cleveland Browns fans’ reaction to Deshaun Watson getting hurt on Sunday. Read it HERE:
LeBron went from loved…to hated…to loved…to indifferent by Cleveland fans. When the man decided to leave Cleveland for Miami he became one of the most hated individuals by a fan base in sports history. We all know how the story goes and LeBron coming back and winning a title was great. And we thank you for that, King James.
However, why do I have the feeling that LeBron saw the fans cheering for Deshaun Watson and it brought back all of those memories of the Cleveland haters? Specifically those games he came back to Cleveland to play for with Miami.
At the time, I even hated LeBron so much that I convinced my grandparents who had very little idea about basketball to hate the man, too. Now, that was hilarious.
Of course, there is plenty of debate in the right and wrong of fan etiquette during a game and that has been shown after this incident. I just find a very funny that a man who was absolutely loved and hated by those same very fans here in Cleveland HAD to chime in.
Maybe focus on your son who completely sucks at basketball?
Interestingly enough, I just posted an article essentially saying that most of the Deshaun stuff had to do with losing and it may be a bit of the personal life but ultimately a winning season would’ve cured all. With LeBron, the Cavs were of course fantastic teams that just couldn’t reach that plethora of winning it all.
That’s why fans hated LeBron cause he left without first winning a title. The Deshaun/Browns story is certainly different on many fronts but it’s got similar themes.
Here’s one: Winning championships fixes problems in sports. LeBron can tell you that after 2016. Where he is now celebrated as close to a God as possible. Deshaun…you’ve got a bit of a way to go. That is, if you ever play in a Browns uniform or frankly even in the NFL again.
LeBron – I’d be down for one final run in Cleveland just to make things interesting. Maybe even you could play quarterback here in The Land.
Signing a contract is essentially agreeing to prepare for extreme criticism from all of those that follow the team you are on. That’s what Deshaun Watson did (a pretty big one at that) and it’s what LeBron did here too.
You make all of that money – suck it up.
