The Cleveland Browns added another weapon to their offense last month.
They traded for wide receiver Jerry Jeudy and then extended his contract through 2027. He’ll pair nicely with Amari Cooper, who was their top wideout this past season.
Quarterback Deshaun Watson is already excited about getting the chance to work with him.
“I think it’s gonna be a great addition with Amari and Elijah and those three guys have already been together this off-season…it’s gonna be fun to be able to toss the ball around to those guys,” Watson said.
Jeudy spent the first four seasons of his career with the Broncos before he got dealt. He finished the 2023 season with 54 receptions for 758 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
His best season came in 2022 when he compiled 67 receptions for 972 yards and six touchdowns. For his career, he’s totaled 211 receptions for 3,053 yards and 11 touchdowns.
The Browns are coming off an unlikely playoff berth after they got in the tournament despite a swath of injuries. They finished the season with an 11-6 record before they lost to the Houston Texans in the wild-card round of the playoffs.
