As the team looks to navigate the stickiness of the trade request made by perennial All-Pro and 2023 NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett, Hoyer has given his take on the situation.
Speaking with 92.3 The Fan on a radio call, Hoyer stated that he believes the best path forward for the Browns is to get what they can for Garrett and start over:
“They need a lot of help. (Myles) saying ‘look, trade me and get something for me’, I think that offers you better options than keeping him…”

Ultimately, Garrett could get his wish. And if he does, the Browns will get at least one first round pick out of him and some additional assets. After a 3-14 season, the Browns need help.
Hoyer has some valid points about pressing the reset button, but how much does trading one of the best players in the NFL and a future first-ballot Hall of Famer help that cause?
