Left guard Joel Bitonio, the longest-tenured player on the Cleveland Browns, is set to give the team clarity on his future before NFL free agency.
Grueling through a 3-14 season, Bitonio expressed how he would take his time to decide his future as he contemplates retirement. According to Cleveland dot com’s Mary Kay Cabot, Bitonio is leaning toward one direction but is not ready to make that decision known publicly yet. The All-Pro left guard has stated he will, however, let the Browns know what his plan is before the start of NFL free agency.
Taken in the second round of the 2014 NFL draft, Bitonio has been a mainstay along the Browns offensive line for a decade. Bitonio has been named to two first-team All-Pro teams and seven Pro Bowls during his 11-year career to this point.
In that span, the Browns have repaid him with just three playoff games and one playoff win.
Hopefully, Bitonio will not go out in the turmoil that the team experienced last year and will give it one more go to end his career on a high note.
