The NFL draft is full of surprises and the Browns surprised Ohio State’s Quinshon Judkins in Round 2
The Cleveland Browns selected RB Quinshon Judkins from The Ohio State Buckeyes in the second round of the NFL draft. A talented running back with high-level athletic traits, Judkins was selected before his national champion teammate RB TreVeyon Henderson to the surprise of some.
Seemingly, including Judkins, who wasn’t in the room when the Browns called to inform him that he would be their selection:
Quinshon Judkins was out of the room when the Browns called so his Mom answered
Thankfully, Judkins’ mother was ready to go and answer GM Andrew Berry’s call to her son. For a mother celebrating her son, getting to take that phone call was probably an exciting opportunity.
While many assumed Judkins left the room to use the restroom, the newest Brown said it was something else:

Judkins was the SEC Freshman of the Year then first team All-SEC at Ole Miss before transferring to Ohio State last year, where he shared the backfield with Henderson. In 2025, on top of helping win the National Championship, Judkins was third team All-Big 10 after rushing for over 1,000 yards with 14 touchdowns on just 194 carries in 16 games.
Now, both by being selected high in the second round and his mother getting to answer the call from his professional team, Judkins has even more career highlights.
What do you think, funny or embarrassing for Judkins to have this caught on television?
