On his quest to win his third straight NFL Super Bowl, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce shared his opinion on the recent trade news surrounding the Cleveland Browns and defensive end Myles Garrett.
In an announcement reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rappoport earlier this week, Cleveland’s defensive star requested a trade from the team. Browns general manager Andrew Berry had previously stated that he would not trade Garrett, even for as much as two NFL first-round draft picks.
During a media day interview in New Orleans leading up to the Super Bowl, Cleveland Heights native Travis Kelce gave his thoughts on Garrett’s trade request:
“I think every team in the NFL would be accepting of a guy like Myles Garrett… Cleveland still deserves to have a product that they can get really excited for. They’re fiending for an opportunity to go crazy for football.”
Kelce went on to explain how meaningful Myles Garrett’s impact has been to the community and the Browns franchise throughout his career. The team will most likely remain quiet until there is official news regarding their star player, hoping for a resolution before he is dealt elsewhere.
