The Browns will have plenty of options to help the offense with their second-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft
The Cleveland Browns are taking responsibility for their mistakes as they prepare to travel to Colorado to get more time up close with Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter. Both have been in the conversation along with Abdul Carter for the selection with the second overall pick on the opening night of the draft.
It seems that over the last week or so, Hunter has picked up steam to be the pick while Sanders may be falling a bit later in round one. With the options at the top of the draft narrowed down, let’s take a look at some players who may be available at the start of round two where the Browns select 33rd overall.
Currently, Carter is the odds-on favorite to be the pick, so in this exercise, we will take edge rushers off the board. That still leaves us with big needs to fill on the offensive side of the ball at quarterback, running back, tight end, offensive tackle, and wide receiver.
QB Jaxson Dart
Dart may end up going late in the first round but if Sanders slips it could allow for him to be available. The Browns could also pass on Dart here and target Jalen Milroe a little later.
Kevin Stefanski attended Dart’s pro day and many from around the league were impressed by it. He won’t be ready to start right away but would provide hope for the position moving forward.
RB TreVeyon Henderson
Henderson is an explosive runner and can do it all out of the backfield. He is one of the better pass-blocking backs and could stay on the field on third downs.
TE Mason Taylor
Few players have increased their stock as much as Taylor during the draft cycle. He can play inline or flexed out and is a solid blocker and tremendous route runner.
His superpower is his soft hands and his ability to pluck the ball out of the air and away from his body.
OT Josh Conerly Jr.
Conerly may have the most upside of any tackle in this class and is the type of young talent that Andrew Berry covets. His feet and movement skills are phenomenal and will just need to gain more strength at the NFL level.
He could be the franchise left tackle for the next decade if he makes it out of the first round.
WR Luther Burden
Burden’s talent on tape stands out as a first-round pick who should be a weapon at the next level. He has the speed to run by defenders vertically and is a threat with the ball in his hands to get explosive yardage after the catch.
He’d be a perfect fit out of the slot and could start right away. The only reason he has a good chance to be available here is due to questions surrounding his mental makeup as some believe he was high maintenance during his time at Missouri.
Either of these players would be worth the selection at pick 33 and could have an immediate impact on the Browns’ roster next season.
Which of these players would you like most at this spot? Should we prioritize a specific position? Let us know in the comments below.
