As Browns rumors swirl, Glenn Cook says Browns draft board is getting smaller
The Cleveland Browns head into the 2025 NFL draft with a projected 12 draft picks. The total number will be finalized when compensatory selections are assigned by the league. As we continue our Browns NFL draft profiles on a number of players, the team is also working on figuring out who will end up on their final big board come draft night.
The NFL combine provided more information for the team, including a stellar performance from a safety, concerning measurements on the offensive line and the lack of key information for running backs.
Rumors about how Cleveland will use the second overall pick really picked up in Indianapolis but no one knows for sure at this point. A few players saw their stock rise in the eyes of media, but NFL teams rarely see huge moves up and down their official draft boards.
Assistant GM Glenn Cook talked about the team’s board noting that only about 80% of the 329 players at the NFL combine are still on the Browns board and that GM Andrew Berry has an even smaller board:

In the end, Cleveland needs to find good players and being able to eliminate players that either are too old, don’t meet athletic requirements or have off the field red flags is the start of the process. In the end, every team has a very different board that they work off of and, likely, the final one for the Browns will have around 150 to 180 players on it.
