NFL draft rumors don’t need much to spark and Deion Sanders not wanting Shedeur in Cleveland was an easy one
To the surprise of no one, this year’s NFL draft having the son of an NFL legend and college head coach lightning rod, Deion Sanders, in it has led to a lot of noise and rumors. With the Cleveland Browns having the second overall pick and a clear need for a quarterback, Shedeur Sanders was sure to be talked about as a connection.
Sanders fits the Browns offense quite well but our sources have given us some thoughts on both what the team thinks about Deion’s involvement and what could happen in the upcoming NFL draft.
Shannon Sharpe weighed in on what he thinks the elder Sanders is thinking about his son playing in Cleveland.
Now, Browns legend Hanford Dixon took a second to weigh in on the rumors swirling that Deion does not want his son playing in Cleveland:
Hanford doesn’t buy into the narrative that Deion Sanders doesn’t want his son to play in Cleveland. #DawgPound
“That’s bull shit that people are saying that about Deion.”

As Shedeur noted, his dad wants what is best for his son as all good parents do.
In the end, the Browns have to do what is best for their team which includes showing interest in all the top players in the draft whether they would select them or not. Having leverage over teams looking to move up to get “their guy” only works if those teams, including the New York Giants selecting third, think Cleveland might take them or has other offers for the second overall pick.
