Browns NFL draft will have QBs Cam Ward, Shedeur Sanders, Jalen Milroe talked about, Tommy Rees connection interesting
The Cleveland Browns are not the center of NFL draft discussions because they have the first overall pick, they are the center of NFL draft discussions because they are the most interesting team at the top of the draft. The Tennessee Titans are likely to select QB Cam Ward and the New York Giants, among other teams, are in the quarterback market but none have drawn the attention like the Browns.
That attention isn’t for good reasons, mostly due to Deshaun Watson’s struggles, contract and injuries, but Shedeur Sanders’ game and name plus Jalen Milroe’s history with OC Tommy Rees have Cleveland in the spotlight early in the offseason process.
Milroe was not the reason Rees got the coordinator job but the connection, along with Milroe’s reputation as a hard worker with high football intelligence does have the pairing at the top of minds. In interviews at the Senior Bowl, Milroe talked about his Alabama Crimson Tide offensive coordinator:

Drafting Milroe just because of Rees’ experience with him would be a fool’s decision by the Browns but Rees has direct knowledge of Milroe’s abilities that will help Cleveland make a decision about him.
As noted in our profile on him, Milroe is considered a developmental prospect who would benefit most from sitting for a year or two behind a veteran. Our earlier reporting on what we are hearing about the Browns plans noted wanting to add a veteran starter along with a younger player at the position.
Do you think Rees’ experience with Milroe should impact how the Browns see the QB or just provide the team with extra information on him for the upcoming NFL draft?
