It’s been a decade since the Cleveland Browns had a terrible NFL Draft.
At the time, they, along with their fans, thought their 2014 draft class was going to be legendary until that aged like milk.
The Browns took Johnny Manziel and Justin Gilbert in the first round of that draft and those picks have aged terribly 10 years later since they’re no longer in the league.
“Imagine drafting TWO busts in the same draft,” one tweet read.
“This picture is hilarious honestly,” another tweet read.
“Happy 10-year anniversary to one of the worst days in franchise history,” another tweet read.
“Justin Gilbert might be the most underrated bust ever,” another fan tweeted.
The Browns thought they were getting their next franchise quarterback and cornerback before they turned into busts. Manziel lasted just two seasons with the Browns and appeared in only 14 games before they cut ties.
Gilbert also only lasted two seasons with the Browns and appeared in 23 games before he joined the Pittsburgh Steelers for the 2016 season.
Hopefully, the Browns won’t have a draft bust that badly again.
