Analyzing Joseph Noteboom as a potential starting option at OT for Cleveland
The Cleveland Browns are heading into the offseason with a few important goals, and one of them is to fix the offensive tackle situation that’s plagued the team for multiple seasons.
This year’s free agency class is surprisingly full of quality offensive linemen who could fit what the Browns are looking for at multiple spots up front.
One of the most intriguing prospects for the team based on starting potential and positional versatility is Joseph Noteboom, who’s been a fairly valuable offensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams over the past seven seasons. His ability to effectively play both left and right tackle could make him a big target for Cleveland once the free agency period officially opens in March.
What a fantastic game Joseph Noteboom @jnoteboom70 had in the divisional playoff round thriller against Tampa Bay. His pass blocking was superb and he seems to be getting better with each start at Left Tackle pic.twitter.com/hODuucbNWp

Fit with Browns
Joseph Noteboom has been a starting-level offensive tackle for the Rams when healthy over the past seven seasons. His ability to play both left and right tackle would give Cleveland some flexibility along the offensive line as well, which is a big deal considering how many injuries the team has dealt with in the trenches.
The Rams’ offensive system closely mirrors Kevin Stefanski’s when it comes to their wide/outside-zone-based run game, which Noteboom already excels in.
Browns player signing could impact
Noteboom would come in and immediately compete for a starting spot at left tackle alongside Dawand Jones and whoever else the Browns decide to bring in, most likely a draft pick.
How the signing could impact the NFL Draft
Based on Cleveland’s underwhelming offensive tackle situation over the past two seasons, Noteboom’s signing “shouldn’t” impact the Browns’ draft plans too heavily. It’s imperative that the team still selects one or two offensive tackles in the draft.
Priority
High.
Projected APY: $4,500,000 – $6,500,000
