Browns rumors will swirl as Myles Garrett’s demand looms
In many ways, the Cleveland Browns are the center of the NFL universe this offseason. The second overall pick in the NFL draft and DE Myles Garrett’s trade request puts the spotlight on GM Andrew Berry and the team’s brass.
We have tried to keep you up to date on everything we are hearing on the ground at the NFL combine in Indianapolis. Things move so quickly that Day 1 rumors were impacted so greatly by Day 2’s news that now we could see a huge trade at the top of the NFL draft.
The Browns quarterback need adds to how much the team will be the focus of the NFL offseason. NFL insider Albert Breer believes Cleveland will “attack” the position in both free agency and the draft:

The idea of the Browns signing QB Kirk Cousins has been projected since before the 2024 NFL season ended but a QB room with Cam Ward, Deshaun Watson and Cousins, as Breer notes, would certainly fill the room. Dorian Thompson-Robinson is also currently under contract and would have the upper hand for the third quarterback spot with Watson likely missing all season with his reinjured Achilles.
Breer makes good points about Berry’s history, including the Philadelphia Eagles “slamming resources” at the QB position. Whether it is a good idea or not for Cleveland to do what Breer suggests or if they are able to pull it off or not, adding Cousins and Ward to the quarterback room would be “attacking.”
Do you think adding Cousins and Ward would be good enough for the Browns offseason? Realistically, what do you think the best outcome for the Browns quarterback room going into 2025?
