The DBN staff predicts the Week 3 games, plus the national media make their predictions for Giants vs. Browns.
Here is what the national media is saying about the Week 3 game between the Browns and Giants:
CBS Sports (Pete Prisco) – Browns 21, Giants 10
The Giants are playing consecutive road games and they are facing a good defense with a suspect offense. That’s never a good thing. The Browns won behind that defense last week at Jacksonville and should find a way to limit this Giants offense this week. Browns take it.
CBS Sports (John Breech) – Browns 24, Giants 13
Sporting News (Vinnie Iyer) – Browns 24, Giants 13
The Browns are back rolling defensively with Myles Garrett, who will use this opportunity to tee off often on Daniel Jones after they contain his two key weapons, rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers and new lead back Devin Singletary. Deshaun Watson will grind away with more help from the running game to create enough field-goal drives to keep a good distance at the end.
Sporting News (Bill Bender) – Browns 22, Giants 13
The Browns are home, where they are 6-1 ATS as a favorite since last season. Cleveland has not forced a turnover through two games, but it will get a few here with the pass rush on Daniel Jones. The Browns will lean on the ground game to put things away, too. New York is generating three sacks per game, and that could be a game-changer if they can get to Deshaun Watson. If not, then the Browns will cruise at home. New York is not a good road team, posting a 2-8 S/U record since last season.
