Myles Garrett, NFL draft rumors and more
With the Scouting Combine starting this week, we will get an update on many things as well as get a good understanding of specific prospects that the Cleveland Browns might have their eyes on when April comes around. Also, the Myles Garrett trade rumors and what will the Browns offseason plan will be.
Do Myles Garrett trade rumors die in Indy?
It hasn’t been a good couple of months for general manager Andrew Berry. Aside from a disappointing season, he has a lot of work to do in terms of trying to retool this current iteration of the Browns to a playoff-level contending team.
When it comes to the Garrett trade rumors, Berry repeated the same thing that most outlets have reported in which Cleveland isn’t interested in moving the star defender.
QB options
As for the quarterback situation, it’s complicated. The current QB class draft class isn’t the most interesting and the QB free agent class doesn’t have a lot of intriguing options. When it comes to the Los Angeles Rams and their situation with quarterback Matthew Stafford, Cleveland might be interested but it seems unlikely to happen.
Watching the workouts and interviews for draft prospects
The scouting combine is an important time of year for all NFL Draft hopefuls. From the interview process to the on-field workouts, prospects can boost their stocks or tank their stocks in a span of an entire week. Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders will attend the Combine but won’t participate in any of the drills, most believe that the same will be true for QB Cam Ward. However, there are some prospects that some should keep an eye on.
- Ohio State QB Will Howard
- Notre Dame FS Xavier Watts
- Michigan DT Mason Graham
- Penn State DE Abdul Carter (won’t participate in drills due to injury)
- Stanford WR Elic Ayomaynor
It should be an interesting week in Indy.
