The Cleveland Browns need a quarterback, and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders has been linked to the team for various reasons.
However, one hangup has always been about how involved his dad and Colorado Football head coach, Deion Sanders, would be in finding him a landing spot.
Jared Mueller at Dawgs by Nature has posted a list of rumors he has heard from various sources this offseason. One concerns the team’s opinion of Deion’s potential meddling in the pre-draft process to find his son an ideal 2025 NFL draft landing spot.
While Deion has been outspoken about certain teams that Shedeur would not play for, Mueller has been told that the Browns are not factoring Deion’s opinion into their evaluation of his son or their willingness to draft the player, potentially with the No. 2 overall pick. Mueller states, “As of now, what Deion Sanders wants for his son does not play a role in their evaluation nor do they care.”
The Browns could pass on quarterback altogether, but at this point, it is clear they will take Sanders no matter what if they have a conviction about the player.
