While many want to see the Cleveland Browns draft a quarterback, either Miami’s Cam Ward or Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders, another rumor indicates that may not be their plan.
Well, it could be their plan, but the Browns are not solely focused on finding a quarterback with the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Dawg By Nature’s Jared Mueller released a list of rumors he had been hearing as the offseason began, many of which concerned the quarterback position.
And one bit had to do with their 2025 NFL draft plan at the position:
“Cleveland will not force selecting a quarterback early just because they have the second pick, the top pick in the second round and a couple of extra picks to move around with but place a high value on the position which will push quarterbacks up.”
It sure sounds like the Browns would like to leave the 2025 NFL draft with a quarterback, but aren’t locked in on one at the top. This is extremely trade-back coded.
