Former Browns QB PJ Walker signed a 1-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks on June 6th, 2024. Walker was signed by the Browns amid the Deshaun Watson injury early in the 2023 season. Walker appeared in 5 games last season throwing for 674 yards, 1 TD, and 5 INTs on a 48.6 completion percentage. Walker had a record of 1-1 as the starter, beating the San Francisco 49ers at home 19-17 and losing to the Seattle Seahawks in Seattle 24-20.
Walker played the majority of the Indianapolis Colts game in week 7 after Deshaun Watson went down with a shoulder injury late in the 1st quarter and the week 12 game against the Denver Broncos after a DTR injury in the late stages of the 3rd quarter. While Walker was not a game changer, he was well liked inside the locker room and provided the Browns with a much needed boost out of the week 6 bye week after a beating by the Baltimore Ravens in week 5.

Walker will now join a QB room consisting of Geno Smith and Sam Howell after the Seahawks decided to move on without adding a QB from their rookie camp. Walker Provides a veteran presence to a younger Seattle team with a median age of 26. This ranks as the 7th youngest team in the NFL (per Bookies.com).
The Browns decided to move forward without re-signing Walker during the offseason, eventually replacing Walker and other backup QB Joe Flacco with former New Orleans Saint Jameis Winston and former Baltimore Raven Tyler Huntley.
