The East-West Shrine Bowl is taking place, and one big draw to the game this year was the addition of potential future Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
However, Sanders did not practice as he looks to impress the Browns and the other teams at the top of the draft. And is not going to practice. He did the media day in a scrum but that is all that Sanders will do this week in Frisco, Texas.
Charles McDonald of Yahoo! Sports, however, has reported that is because the three teams at the top of the 2025 NFL draft boards have instructed him not to practice. McDonald, in a one-on-one interview with the potential No. 1 overall pick in the draft, wrote:
“Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, one of the top prospects in April’s NFL Draft, is not practicing at the Shrine Bowl, and the teams with the top three picks asked him not to, according to a source.”
So Sanders is locked in as a top-three pick. The question remains whether or not that will be to the Browns, Tennessee Titans, or New York Giants.
