Rain, cold temperatures, and high winds are in the forecast.
The Cleveland Browns are at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 12 of the 2024 NFL season this Thursday, November 21, at 8:15 pm ET. The Browns are 3.5-point underdogs against the Steelers, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Here are my favorite player prop bets from the Browns’ perspective in Week 12.
Steelers vs. Browns Best NFL player prop bets
Russell Wilson Under 186.5 Yards Passing (-113)
In his four starts this season, Russell Wilson would’ve hit the over in all of them. However, with the weather expect to be rainy and windy and Cleveland coming off of a game in which they struggled to stop the run, I wouldn’t be surprised if Pittsburgh makes an effort to have Justin Fields involved again as a runner, which takes away some of Wilson’s reps.
Jameis Winston’s Longest Pass Under 32.5 Yards (-114)
Similar to the story above related to the rain, I think it’ll be tougher for Jameis Winston and the Browns’ offense to get a big passing play down the field. Before the bye, the Chargers’ defense limited Winston to a long pass play of 21 yards, and Pittsburgh’s defense will make it tough to connect downfield.
Nick Chubb Under 52.5 Yards Rushing (-113)
You would think that the weather is ideal to run the ball here, but with how protective Cleveland has been with Nick Chubb’s reps, I’m expecting Jerome Ford to be carrying a decent amount of the load. As fun as it would be for Chubb to get revenge against the team he suffered his devastating knee injuries against last year, his lack of utilization, coupled with Pittsburgh’s solid defense, has diminished my hope.
