It hasn’t been quite the enthralling season for the Cleveland Browns and our fans. The team was heading into the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a 2-8 record. However, it was these plethoras of factors that made Thursday night’s win a special one.
-A rivalry matchup against a very good team in our division.
-A night game with national television spotlight.
-The extreme snowy weather conditions in Cleveland for a home game.
-The absolute excitement from the home crowd that showed up and stayed for the entire game despite the weather.

Additionally, the Browns came to play despite their poor overall record. This team could’ve given up and just thought it was another night to tank for the upcoming draft. However, they played exactly the opposite led by quarterback Jameis Winston and Myles Garrett on the defensive side of the ball too.
Yes, the Dawgs did everything in their power to make us nervous after having a 12-point lead. Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson did a great job of coming back. Yet it was running back Nick Chubb who scored what would be the winning touchdown in the snowy conditions late in the night.
Now, I was literally writing articles about the potential of head coach Kevin Stefanski getting fired, but with the win that isn’t going to happen any time soon.
Is this team going to win the Super Bowl this year? Of course not.
Are these Browns even going to make it to the playoffs? It would take a miracle.
Even so, it was a reminder of just how fun and exciting football can be when a team is actually at the peak of its prime. That is what it looked like on Thursday night.
Beating our rival was an amazing experience with how this year has been for fans.
Leave it to the Browns to not only beat the Steelers this season but also rival Baltimore Ravens back in Week 8 (29-24). Now, the team has three chances against divisional rivals all road games to try and make some type of mark on the season.
Week 14 Pittburgh Steelers
Week 16 Cincinnati Bengals
Week 18 Baltimore Ravens

Us Browns fans watch the Super Bowl each year with some type of disappointment, as the Browns are not even close. Maybe Thursday night was just a tiny, tiny taste of something in the very distant future? That will be special.
