Browns top corner has a long history of concussion issues
The Cleveland Browns have played well in Week 8 against the Baltimore Ravens and hold a 13-10 lead more than halfway through the third quarter. The Browns defense has caused issues for the Ravens offense most of the day but may have to do so without CB Denzel Ward.
Ward, who has been playing well this season, gave up his first touchdown earlier in the game, was being checked by a neurological specialist on the sideline after Baltimore’s first possession of the second half. It wasn’t immediately obvious what happened with Ward that led to the evaluation.
Ward went to the medical tent and then was seen walking to the locker room:
No announcement up here in press box, but the red hat independent spotter was with him and other #Browns medical personnel that looks for possible head injuries. https://t.co/YTOv8Lf0Ie

Ward has a long history of head injuries which increases the concern as he is evaluated for another. The team announced Ward was being evaluated for a head injury but no game designation for those injuries.
Shortly after Ward’s injury, CB Martin Emerson was also injured and the Ravens scored to take the lead 17-13.
Update:
The team announced that Ward would not return to the game:

Of note, the team did not say he had a concussion:
Browns say Denzel Ward is in concussion protocol but has not been diagnosed with a concussion.
