Browns EDGE rusher is now an official pitchman
Professional athletes in print ads and on TV commercials are nothing new. Local merchants and national ad agencies hire athletes all the time to push their products. Why, former New York Football Giants QB Charlie Conerly was the first Marlboro man, using his stature and physical physique to hawk cigarettes.

Normally, pro athletes are hired for local gigs in the beginning of their careers as they become popular and fan favorites. The fortunate ones spread their wings into national ads.
Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns appeared in a Super Bowl commercial on Sunday for Oikos Yogurt with actor Juno Temple.
The bit was filmed at the Ontario International Airport in Ontario, California.
Temple is known for roles in “Fargo” and “Ted Lasso.” It was her first national commercial which cost the Greek yogurt brand $8 million for the 30-second spot. Danone, a global food company that began in 1919, manufactures Oikos. The company has 27 offices and plants in the United States and Canada including a plant in Minister, Ohio.
Oikos has now purchased a Super Bowl ad for six consecutive seasons. This year’s ad features plenty of computer-generated effects which, at one point, it really appears that Garrett is riding on the shoulders of Temple.
The Mr. Daily Marketing online site ranked this year’s Super Bowl commercials, and rated the Garrett spot #1:
The Cleveland star recently asked the Browns for a trade which has thrust him into the spotlight on every sports-related show on radio, television, and podcasts.
In the past, Garrett has had speaking lines in ads for Voice of CLE, Taco Bell, the Downtown Cleveland Alliance, NFLFlagFootball.com, Muncipal.com, and Verizon.
He has also appeared as a Browns player in ads for Best Buy, Nationwide Insurance, McDonald’s, Sleep Number beds, the NFL, and FanDuel.
