Every year, the media throws around some names who they believe will be the biggest training camp / preseason standout. My choice is Michael Woods ll the 3rd year Wide Receiver from Oklahoma. During Wood’s first season he had 5 catches for 45 yards receiving and was a major contributor on special teams. Looking to improve on his solid rookie start, Woods grinded in the off-season to build chemistry with Browns QB Deshaun Watson in Houston, Texas, hoping to make a big leap. During that period he suffered an unfortunate achilles rupture which ended his 2023 campaign. Now why did I choose him as my breakout player for this season? Here’s why;

During his rookie off-season Woods was a standout, every training camp session there was a clip of Michael Woods making a tough grab over a defender, which was very impressive for a late round draft pick. A athletic freak of nature, Woods shows up every off-season continuing to work on his craft and it shows. His route running, combined with his big frame really fits what the Browns want moving forward and I think if he puts in maximum effort he is going to show everyone what we missed out on last season!
Michael Woods II with a good release and is aggressive at the top of the route. Love the yards after catch (YAC) #Browns pic.twitter.com/clLOgquSCS
