The NFL trade deadline nears, and the Cleveland Browns are rumored to be sellers of some of their more veteran players before Tuesday at 4 PM EST.
Defensive end Za’Darius Smith has been the rumored player to have a ton of interest around the league. The Detroit Lions, leading the NFC, look like the prime candidate to make a run at Smith at the deadline as the Browns seek a high Day 3 pick for his services.
Cornerback Greg Newsome II and perhaps some other veterans on the roster could be up for grabs at the deadline. However, there are players on the roster who are not going anywhere and that the Browns would be foolish to sell for any price. Let’s turn our attention to those players.
So which Browns players are untouchable at the NFL trade deadline? The list is small, but here are four players that general Andrew Berry cannot trade under any circumstances:
